I am a new owner of a 2004 Pajero LWB (Diesel) with almost 300,000 kms on the clock.
I currently reside in Gauteng. We have taken the Pajero to the coast twice now, KZN and Western Cape. In both instances the Pajero would produce a large amount of smoke every 3 or 4 times the car was started. This happened regardless of whether the engine was cold or hot. As soon as we get back to Gauteng to problem disappears.
So the only constant factor was the low altitude. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
