Hi all I have a problem engaging 4x4 on my 2002 gen 3 vehicle It has never worked since I bought the car about 2 years ago, I traced a faulty solenoid and replaced both this didn't work ,I traced a faulty front diff engage detection switch and replaced this didn't work either I am wondering if the motor that drives the 4x4 engage rail in the transfer case could be the problem is there a place to access the electrical connection to this motor I am sure there must be but have been unable to find it.I had a mechanic look at it about a year ago and he said the diff lock was jammed on and he had to disconnect something to disengage it I can't see how this could be relevant but who knows? We didn't part on very good terms so I can't ask him.I am in a rural area so no fancy mechanics here.Any help will be appreciated.
