Hi all
I picked up an oil leak where the rear propshaft goes into the gearbox / transfer case.
How easy is it to replace the oil seal. Can one do it yourself?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Fanus

Hi Fanus
That one is very easy to replace.
Just loosen your prop shaft and pull it out of the transfer box.
Pry out the old seal then replace with new.
Replace prop shaft.
Just want to ask you do you have any play on that prop shaft
where it enters the transfer box ?
If so how much play has it got.
Mine does not leak, but has quiet a bit of play up and down.

Martyn

Thank you for the feedback Martyn. Will source part from Agents.
W.r.t. play, I can't really feel any up/down movement on the rear propshaft.
