Me thinks someone is telling you porkie pies (lies).
Just had a quick look at Take Alot (urgg), here here are some CV's at a price considerably cheaper than yours.

Have a look around, there is always someone, somewhere selling what you want cheaper. But don't forget, buyer beware....... Stay to the reputable shops and spares places and you'll come right. Don't diss the Fong Kong places either, some high quality stuff available at a fraction of the cost.

Take the vehicle to a CV joint place, they can recondition the CV’s for around R2500 per CV (or even less possibly)

Hi V & Kurt,
Thanks for your replies.
Unfortunately the inside, rear CV joints are not available loose and also cannot be reconditioned, hence only option is to replace whole shaft

Hi There!

I have got one complete shaft for you with the rubber boots in tact from a 2015 Pajero.

My rear right one seized and Jonathan from Motobishi in George got a complete set from someone in Johannesburg.

If you want it you can have it for what I paid for it, R3000, it is the R2500 + the coerier cost.

It is very rare that the inside CV's will seize, thus the reason that you will not get a new one in South Africa. In my case the CV boot had a little hole and all the grease escaped and the CV ran dry. I bought the car second hand and it was completely cleaned and I did not pick up the grease that escaped and could not see the hole in the CV boot.

You are welcome to contact me(082 220 3406) and contact Jonathan at Motobishi in George

Regards

Danie

Thanks for all the reply's and suggestions, I was lucky to get 2 side shafts from the same Pajero @N2 Auto Spares in the Strand at a good price.
They have quite a couple of Pajero's
