Noisey vibrations in front console

Hi All
I know this topic has come up before, a long time ago. I have 3.2 DID Exceed.
On corrigated roads and I other sharp road bumps, a lot of plasticy vibrations come from around the radio/nav system.
I have taken the front console and vents etc apart, and as far as I can make out, the heavy sound system is supported in a metal bracket, but onto the plastic of the dash. which does not seem to be enough support. Also the surrounding components, such as air vents and air con console, are clip together hard plastic. It would seem to me ,that better support to the radio console and possibly applying mastic between the clip together units, might be effective or a big improvement. any suggestions appreciated.
