Erratic speedo

2002 SWB Pajero 3.2 DID

I had issue with an erratic fuel guage, I re-soldered the resistor on the back if the circuit board since cold joints are a common problem, now my fuel gauge works.

Problem now is my speedo stays at 80km/h and takes long to come down, also ill drive at 20 and it shoots straight up to 80.

Any idea what it could be? I doubt it was the speed sender unit as it was working fine a few days ago.

Is it worth mentioning that I replaced some dash bulbs ?

This is a common issue after repair of the faulty temp guage issue.

Read up on it here with the fix. Unfortunately you are going to have to take it apart again to fix.
