Hi Gents,
Alot of you know I have replaced my trusty Paj with the GL. However cannot remember that I did a "show & tell"
I've always been a very big Merc fan, and after ALOT of research took the plunge with the final straw from Mitsu when a friend of mine's Paj was written off because of issue with parts supply and some stupid prices. (I had a experience whereas a universal part on Paj DiDc and LC VX100 rear brake caliber uses the same identical item. Mitsu charges R 370 each and Toyota R 63)
The Merc is absolutley amazing offroad, and basically makes it a bit boring with the lockers and very good TC.
But that is not all, it can either be a Sport SUV cruising easily at 200kmh+ (suspension on sport setting) or go over obstacles with 310mm clearance (suspension on setting 3 offroad) chuck in 190kw with 620nm..... All I can say is WoW!!
Sofar I've done the following changes:
-replaced the 21" mags with 45 low profiles with 20" AMG mags and Cooper Zeon 275/55x20
-Roofrack with 220w LED lightbar
-DiY drawer system
To do list
-Still need to find someone to make me a sparewheel carrier, as the marie biscuit space saver is a waste of time.
-Dual battery system
-winch behind front bumper

Lekker man!
Enjoy - those GL's are monsters and not a lot sees the off road action that they are capable of.
