After changing the fuel filter on a Gen3 3.2 DiD, is there some priming that needs to be done before cranking the engine, or is it a simple matter of plug and play? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Between the 2 pipes there is a nut that must be loosened with a 10mm spanner or socket. Hand pump on top of the filter until diesel comes out that loosened nut.superairborne wrote:After changing the fuel filter on a Gen3 3.2 DiD, is there some priming that needs to be done before cranking the engine, or is it a simple matter of plug and play? Tighten the nut and pump a few more times.
Crank it and have someone operate the hand pump at the same time for a few seconds.
This is my method and it works for me.
