What are the "tortion bar bushes" which you had replaced? Did you mean control arm bushes? I have similar clunking on my 2001 SWB. I already replaced upper and lower ball joints, tie rods and wheel bearings, but the noise is still there. mainly when I turn at slow speeds like when parking at a shopping centre. Any suggestions?
The control arm bushes are the size of tank bushes. They are very tough.
The weakpoint in the suspension for clunks are the stabilizer links that attach the control arms to the anti-roll bar.
anti-roll bars last almost forever. It's the stabilizer links that gets play and clunks.
- NOTE : the swaybar does not help keep the car up like the springs - it only eliminates body roll.
Here is a stabilizer link - the only real way to test is to remove and feel for play - if the rubber boot is torn then 99% chance it's had it.

Hi
Are the codes that you've given for the top suspension strut bushes and the bottom suspension strut bushes? Or do you have them? Mitsu claim you have to buy the entire arm which does not seem possible to me at all - I'm sure that I can just buy the bushes...
Please can someone help?
I've got a 2001 3.2. DID GLS 5 door.
thanks all
E-mail steve@koni.co.za They sell the bushes loose and are made of polyeutherine, will last forever.
