Hi guys, on the last service of my 2006 3.2 DiD SWB Pajers I was adviced that my Injectors should be serviced/ the tips replaced. My question is: On what mileage should one typically replace the injectors / service them?
Cheers.
Bossie.
With proper maintenance the injectors should last a very long time. I sold my Isuzu 280 DT with 330k and it still had the original injectors fitted.
I personally believe you replace them when the symptoms (of failing injectors) emerge:

Hi there, Please advise on the use of 2 stroke oil to clean injectors. My vehicle is running very irregularly and I have tried the commercial brands available to clean the injectors without success. The Dealer cannot locate any problem using diagnostic testing yet the vehicle often jerks and isles roughly. Thanks, Tommy
Hi Tommy,
The guys at SAC advised me to get the injectors checked and serviced at maximum intervals of 40 000 km. Their cost to take them out, check and service them is about R300-00. I personaly think it is money well spent.

I was charged R5500.00 by Alan Black for "refurbishment" of injectors.
Does anyone know what the price of new ones are and is it worth having old ones "refurbished"..

I got quoted R6300 for the set less than a month ago (non common rail)
No. Mine is not common rail.
Mine is the 2 stage mechanical injector with electronic diesel injection pump.
Non common rail looks like this

common rail looks like this (note the electrical connection)
