Note that the 200 000 km service is the cambelt replacement service, and Ned's guy has not done one yet.

I suggest you phone JJ Smit of Mitsubishi (Tyger Valley) and ask him if he can recommend someone for a private job.

Otherwise ANG (Milnerton) comes highly recommended, and my guy (Stellenberg motors) is good (he is going to do my 200 000 km service later this year - I'm at 190 000 now).

Anton
Thank you very much Anton.

I will start calling around for quotes. Do you perhaps know how much a 200 000 km service will cost?
I've got a 99 Pajero 3000 V6 SWB (M)

Hi Guys,

Sorry only commenting now.

Its been more than a year since I have really been involved on the forum other than the odd pre-overhaul question etc)

I am happy to report, that not only has Malcolm (M Saich) done a cambelt service, he has also overhauled my engine (new pistons, big ends etc) (did the Cam belt service at this time) extended my breathers on diffs etc, replaced starter motor
and replaced quite a few other bits & bobs while the block was out and once can get to everything, but did it all for just over 21K, engine feels great and goes well.

Forgive me if I mis-understand, Malcolm had only not done mine yet, but has obviously done too many to count.

I am happy to see though hes had quite a few pajeros in here and there in the last year (hopefully due to our positive feedback from the site.

Re: Pajero Workshop Recommendations
Does anyone know of a decent Indy in the northern Joburg area, specifically near Mellville that has good knowledge of Pajeros?

Re: Pajero Workshop Recommendations
Hi Guys.

Auto Station

I was under my van on saturday and saw to my dismay my inner left front CV boot had a big tear all the way around... I felt inside and could feel some dirt inside.I check my CVs every week as I have 330 000km plus on, and was worried I was in for a nasty surprise. However to remove, steam clean and repack both CV's was R 485.00 at Auto-Station in 167 Durban road bellville, they specialise in CV joints. When they did the work they said the original boots were still fitted! :o They use specialised CV grease (non-graphite based) and imported CV boots (Gomet???) They even washed my car when they were finished! Call 021-945 3294, speak to Johan.

ps. They said the intact CV boot was still filled with grease in good condition and both CV's were still in excellent condition... Go mitsu engineering!!

Re: Pajero Workshop Recommendations
Just another thumbs up for Freek at Mitspro in Centurion.

Its the first time I took my car there, and you are really left with the impression of the "personal touch". They were on-time (in fact, a lot earlier) with finishing the work and even did a couple of extra checks I requested.

And all this for a price I used to have my citi golf serviced at VW Barons in Woodmead

Mitspro without a doubt.

I will never take my Pajero anywhere else as long as I have it (which, with service like that is likely to be for a long time)and as long as Mitspro keep rendering the same professional, friendly, high-standard service.

Thanks Freek and thanks to the forum users who recommended Mitspro!
