It happened again this morning and I think I'm going to put the battery on my brother-in-laws charger overnight as a short term fix. Would it be best for me to disconnect the battery altogether while charging?

1. If it is a dumb charger, who knows how many volts it is putting out / and what current it is trying pass.
2. If it is an intelligent charger it will detect the vehicle's loads attached and will not optimise the charge rate for the battery nor will it try to charge at the higher voltages required for the desulphation cycles.
But that is not to counter 4eP's comment about leaving an intelligent charger on when the vehicle is not in use.
After trying a few things it would seem that a new Bosch Battery solved all my issues! She now starts without the slightest of hesitation and purrs like a kitten. I am a happy man again!
