Good Day All,
Has anybody used these quick splice connectors to connect their spotlights to the hi beams , pros vs cons?
Thank you
I think you will blow the headlights fuse if just power from headlight wires with quick connectors.
Spotlight needs seperate power wires with a relay switch that you can connect to headlights to use that as trigger. I idea is to run low power wires through to dash, with high power wires in engine bay. Much safer if there is a short with fuse as near to the battery as possible
I would really recommend a seperate switch for spot lights, as do not want to always run them with highbeams, especially if have spotlight covers etc.
Just google it or search in any offroad forum.
See this for basic idea

Hi Bennie,
Thanks for the reply, i already have a harness with a relay, switch and power wires.
what i meant was to connect the wires from the relay to the lights wires (so that the spots can only be used when the brights are on and are controlled by a switch in the cabin)

Those are pretty neat. Where can you get them?
The only place I use them is on the bright's feed to switch the relay that feeds the spots.
ie. I only use it in an application where the current draw through them is a few milliamps.

No problem Dennis. Find out from your local electrical or auto-elec, as soon as you buy anything from a 4x4 shop, the price at least quadruples. Also apllies to fuse holders etc.
Ie for the slide-in eye connectors for a front runner roofrack, LA Sport was something like R30ea, I bought it from Ropetech for R3 ea plus the cost of of a normal 8x20mm bolt, so total cost maybe R3.50ea
