It might. But I HATE those bars with only the bottom bolt holes as they tend to tear the chassis if used to tow heavy loads.
If you can bring it along in your bulk move, then do. If it cant be modified you will always be able to sell/swop/modify. This is Africa and a plan will be made.

I know this is years old but I'm looking at a similar thing. I'm in Alberta (Canada) and have the opportunity to purchase a used Gen3 hitch off of a Montero for my Gen4. I cannot find a new hitch anywhere.jaedueck
