Gen 4 Cell phone holder - solved
One thing that always bothered me was finding a nice spot to put my cell phone. I used to use the silly pocket next to the business card holder but my new Note 5 proved too big and it kept falling out (what is this pocket meant for anyway ?).

My solution was to use a wireless charging plate to create an extended platform for phone to sit on - with added bonus of wireless charging.

Here is first attempt - no irreversible changes to car made yet:

Then my lovely wife pointed out that the mat while supporting the phone perfectly looks like a cell phone, almost guaranteeing a broken window. In for a penny in for a pound - I then removed the rear of this plastic pocket - did it will a drill and file with radio out so the pad could sit further in. There is space behind this and all I did was pad the inside as per pic below (pad now painted black):

Power for the pad I took from the rear of the cigarette charger plug in the center console - was easier to get to than the cigarette charger in the dash. I just used a normal usb car charger and its all hidden blow the cup holder area.
This is what it looks like now and I can even mostly close the flap to hide it and the phone if in a doggy area:

Sorry no pics with phone in as used phone for pics :)
