Flat spot when I pull way in drive .
Hi,

I am new and must say what a awesome page.
I bought a second hand Pajero 3.5i Model 2000 with high miles on it 329 000km on it.

I service it and must say the it is still in a good state.

I had problem with the ABS brake system and have receive great service from the Mitshubushi Boksburg that replace my
accumulated boll for free due to a factory fault.

I have driven the vehicle for a few weeks but now it stated to have a slow spot when I put the vehicle in drive and then it just took a few second to respond. Where can I start to look for this problem.

Please if someone can assist me.
Re: Flat spot when I pull way in drive .
Try changing the transmission filter and fluid.
Be sure to use the recommended Mitsubishi DiaQueen SP III fluid not the regular Dexron 3 since using the later is known to make problems with the Pajero's transmission.

Have the same issue with mine specially when the engine is still cold. Its probably a sticky valve inside the transmission that does not stick when warm.
Flushed the transmission and replaced the filter, then it took several days to get better. Still some delay, but acceptable.

Hello,
I realised that you are from Egypt and maybe you can help! Where can i find the Mitsu DiaQueen transmission oil for a 1998 Gen 2 ?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Adel

Hi Adel,

I suppose you mean DiaQueen SPIII.
It is available at most Mitsubishi spare parts shops and at the agents (Masreia, Diamond Motors....).
Note that the same oil is also the recommended oil for some Hyundai Auto Trans, so you should find it at Hyundai parts shops.

Hello,
Thanks for your fast response. Is there some additive that can be added to the transmission oil to enhance performance? I have been facing some poor performance since the last transmission oil change.
Had a bad differential as well and it has been swapped for another one. Also, do you have any idea where i can find the differential oil?
Thank you so much for your help but as you know its not that easy in Egypt nowadays!
Adel
