Popped into Alu-cab to see about the fitment of gullwing doors in the place of the rear windows.
Leo (very friendly dude) has measured things up and now eagerly await the quote, ans see whether it fits within the limits of my SA4x4 winning voucher.
Pending finalization the doors will probably cost about 5k and the doors with boxes about 7k.

Bear in mind the window profile is more complex than say the Defender of 76 series Cruiser because it's a) not flat b) has some complex angles.

No, seems about right - I've had quotes of R2500 per side without the boxes.GertM wrote:Me not knowing much about this, but it sounds a bit expensive, doesn't it?

Re: Gen 2 Gullwing Doors
Hi Simon, any update on this?
I had a quote from African Outback for R7k EACH! Even then, the guy said they've never done one on a Gen2 Paj, so it'll be trial and error.... he even said that they may not be able to do it...

This is an old post, but I'm currently looking for gullwing doors with boxes for my Gen 2 LWB.
Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?
