I have a 2020 Pajero LWB and have a problem with my tow hitch. When I hitch my boat the handle on the coupler barely clears the spare wheel and I can only open the rear door a few inches. Any suggestions ?

The easiest to fix that, is to lift the spare wheel by 50mm - then the wheel cover will still fit - and the hitch will have more space to attach to the ball. If you lift the spare higher, it may touch the cover and may cause some damage. I used to make lifting brackets for the Gen 4 and still have one available.

It was good meeting you today. Thank you once again for the bracket and your help in fitting it.
I figure that I have gained 3" (75mm) additional clearance which will be more than enough to open and close the tail gate with trailer hitched.
I found your additional tips and advice of great interest and value. Nothing beats hard earned experience in life. This is especially so in the realm of off road travel.
