I'm Wynand from Randburg. I recently joined the group and thought I'd introduce myself properly.
I drive a 2004 Gen 3 Pajero 3.2 Di-D LWB that originally belonged to my late mother. It has become my weekend escape vehicle and, unexpectedly, the reason I started building a 4x4 app.
Over the last year I've been working on a project called Old Goat 4x4.
The original goal was simple: I wanted an app that understood vehicles, not just routes.
Most navigation apps can tell you where a trail is. Very few can answer:
• Can my vehicle realistically do this trail?
• What are the weak points in my setup?
• What upgrade should I consider next?
• How does my vehicle compare to others that have done the same route?
After a couple of failed attempts and complete rebuilds, I'm now testing the Vehicle Profile / Garage section before it gets merged into the main app.
This is where I could use some help.
I'm looking for a handful of Pajero owners willing to load their vehicle into the app and tell me where it makes sense, where it talks nonsense, and where I've completely misunderstood what makes a Pajero a Pajero.
Stock vehicles, modified vehicles, Gen 2, Gen 3, Gen 4 — all useful.
No cost involved. Just honest feedback.
