If my car is finished by then, and I hope it will be, we would be keen to join in!

Hi Simon,

What about our original GTG idea, at Outrekpad, or Atlantis for that matter, but I can only do Sundays if thats ok,
Maybe Sunday 28th, this Sunday could also work, but I'd need some time to beg for my nuts back from the wife.

So... lets have some hand up for sume suggestions and prospective dates for an Xmas GTG. I feel it must be late November because of the holiday season.

So...suggestions.... for a day outing.. and a date.

Nico... up to you ;-)
Hey i wanna come along too something happening or not??

Nothing has been finalised yet.

We will have to sort this soon but people are going to have to state their availability first then we can find a venue

We don't want it too far out of town. Something like Damon is the furthest I will be prepared to travel for a day outing. A full weekend I believe will be out for most people this time of year.

I will investigate the possibility of De Grendel and Zewenwacht wine farms. Closed to the public but it's who you know :)

Helderberg and Lourensford are also nice options.

Blister, BTW Perdeberg has been closed for more than a year now ;)

Hi Guys,

What about Klein Helderberg Plaas, (TWO OCEANS 4X4 ROUTE)

They have a 4x4 trail (I think is R150 per vehicle) They also have facilities for picknicks, and an area at the back for group braais etc,

I think that could work well, as its really close (closer for me) 35-40 KM outside Cape Town, on the R44 just past Somerset West.
The 4x4 trail is 1 - 2 hrs, which is great, coz then we can partake in a bit of play, and then Braai afterwards, and Sunday's no problem.

If this sounds O.K. then maybe I can speak to them about getting a discounted group rate, and mention that we would give some sort of write up on the forum therafter to sweeten the pot?

I would need to know how many vehicles we would be looking at, and possible dates,
possibly next Sunday 28th November, or Sunday 5th December.

IIRC the trail is 2-4 (www.helderbergplaas.co.za)

OK,

I still have Sunday 28th November & Sunday 5th December open, and am game for a GTG,
I think a bit of off road fun & a braai would be AWESOME
but at this stage, I think any GTG that can be organised before the end of the year would be a boon for the Cape Town chapter,

Please guys, can we get something?
