Its a thought thats starting to cross my mind,
a) Upgrading to a series 3
b) Changing over to a Diesel
although, I really like the blister fender,
What are the advantages of a series 3 vs series 2, and diesel vs Petrol (other than water crossings)
I really want to start looking at a possible change, but I sit with a few problems regarding getting rid of Bismark
these are:
The idiot who sold the car to me under the guarantee that he would give me the owner manual when he got it,
left the company who I bout the car from, they did manage to get the book for me, but with ABSOLUTELY NO SERVICE history in the book - the company wont help out any which way, as they said they booted this guy because he was on his own mission and sold the pajero at a cheaper price, did not divluge info correctly etc.
I still have the jump seats at the back, but they are not installed, and it looks like theres a few items missing in order to install them (this did not bother me, as I would never need / use them anyway) but I imagine they would help toward the re-sale.
I bought a Hannibal roof-rack, which is awesome, but will not fit the series 3.
Have just had the Autobox re-done (lock-up solinoid replaced etc)
So I knw I will DEFINATELY not get my money back,
I bought it for R50,000.00 and have spent about R18,000 on it (excluding roof-rack)
but without any service history, I'm sure it wont sell easily.
Book value as it is now is about R78,000
But, if the pros are really all that much worth it, I might just have to let it go at a slight loss
What is your opinion?
