Then I will most probably not see you. I will be staying in the park from the 26April till the 1May at various camps.
Enjoy and drive save.

How was your stay in the park? I noticed in another thread you posted a pic of your car plus offroad caravan in the park - how did this combination go (towing over akkedis pass, helskloof pass, etc)?

Our stay in the park was GREAT.
I really enjoyed Kokerboomkloof camp and for me this must be the ultimate Richtersveldt!
I am still finalising a proper trip report to post and will give some more info there, but the combination went very well!
I however have a long standing relationship with my Pajero and the Xplorer combination and know reasonably well by now how to drive it over rough terrain. I would not advise a greenhorn to take this trip as a first outing with a similar rig. Having said that, I encountered a Ford Bantam bakkie in the Helskloof pass and a Chana bakkie past the Akkedis pass, so the old saying of anything is possible also goes
I do however believe that both the Bantam and Chana caused a lot more damage to the environment than my rig, which did all the things that you did with your Shorty, but obviously at a much more sedated pace.
