Had the same problem on my vehicle. Union Motors eventually have replaced all 4 discs with new disks and pads, - Expensive. Labour R2438 incl.
Herewith response from Powerbrake "Unfortunately we are currently out of stock of the All Terrain series matched upgrade kits (discs and pads) on the Pajero 3.2DID (usually retail for R2490.90 VAT incl. - new stock in 3 weeks).

Also, as we concentrate on upgrades, we only produce a front kit where anything up to 80%+ of your brake work is done."

On enquiry, I understand the skimming process is not effective in the long term. It will get you through your guarantee period then you will be on your own. Anybody wanting my old disks are welcome to PM me if they want to do some experimental skimming. The disks are available free ex my home.

Skimming the disks is a short term solution and money wasted.

I have had skimming done on my brakes before at the Mitsu dealers. They only skim once on a disk, then replace. So your disks should be replaced

In my case, new disks (or skimmed disks) only stay shudder free for about 15 000km! Luckily the shudder is very mild, and I only occasionally notice it just before I come to stop (slow pulsing feeling).

I must say there's no shudder at present, but as you mentioned, skimming is only a short term solution. The squeaking is irritating though and for that reason I'd like to take it back to the dealers for a check.

I can confirm that my front and rear skimmed discs did not last very long as they are starting to shudder again.

Lesson taken. Dont skim, buy new discs IMO.

Touch wood, my skimmed disks are still perfect after 15 000km.

I think I am pretty light on brakes as this was the first time ever that I had to have disks skimmed. Pads also last very long for me, the previous set lasted 75 000km.

I don't run into other things too often, so I'm doing something right

Mitsu Sandton skimmed mine at 70000km, after I expressly asked them NOT to do it!
