On your photo, right behind the thick black beam, holding the gearbox in place, one can see the transfer case.

I was thinking to "bash-plate" that as well. The T-case is exposed/vulnerable.

I think you misunderstood me. Thats a foto of fielies's car without a bash plate. I'm planning to put a bash plate under the transfer and around the roundbar holding the gearbox all the way to the bumper. Will let you know once its finished. Should be done in about two weeks.
