Hi Thys
I also received quite a bit of water into the Padj, but from the door seals (gradually, as I was stuck for a few minutes). Luckily, my 4x4 has rubber mats, which I removed or propped up, and I fitted an electric fan in the 4x4, for a few days.......thereafter, by hand, I removed any coverings / cables and hand dried to perfection, administered diluted tectyl/oil - wax mixture, and the end result was better than original.
Absolutely no rust !!
The SWB's chassis is in prime condition on the undercarriage as well.......even cleaner than my later model Gen 2.5 blister fender.
I'm seriously contemplating to fit the extended breather pipes (2x diffs, g/box & trsfr box), that are attached , and end up at the highest, driest terminal position on the vehicle. There are pictures/diagrams and on the forum, that explain where & how, if I remember correctly.
Regards
Achille
