The trip is a GO!
I saw Herman today. He confirmed that the trip will happen. There are 7 vehicles comfirmed.
I'll be going down on Friday late morning and Herman will be joining us at Rebellie on Friday late afternoon. It is expected to be cold there but we are braving the cold in the rooftop tents. There is also a possibility of snow on the trail because it is apparently the highest trail in SA. I can't wait! Pajero has been repaired and running boards removed. Looks like a monster standing in the driveway
Johann, be brave and join us at the camp site on Friday night. The cold is all part of the experience.

Sounds like most people will be leaving Saturday afternoon. But I'll still hang in there till Sunday and take a relaxing drive home.
I'll pst pix when it's all over.
Can't wait

Excellent!
Will make the arrangements and see you there

. Going to be a tight squeeze though, my wife is leaving for Nam on the Monday, for 6 weeks, with the same Pajero. I will also be leaving on the Friday, but aiming for Clarens, as all the tents and stuff will be packed for my wife's trip

.
Can't wait, looking forward to this trip and hope we find some snow - it will make for some brilliant pics - am bringing the video camera along, this time going to have it mounted though.
Cheers
Johann
@Vernon - PS please PM me your cell so we can arrange the trip down and in case something goes wrong.

Sad news, the trip is cancelled due to the bad weather in Clarens. Nic had to close the routes at Rebellie.
Next time
