Its hard to say whether an extra leg or reinforcement will be more beneficial. Gerrit will be the one to give better insightr into this.
Extra gussets added as suggested.

On the front mount it is not so easy as the plate will fit inbetween the chassis and the crossmember. The top part will be against the chassis side.
