No. Your bracket is probably missing or not bolted down.

This is the supporting bracket bolt for the autobox dipstick

and the engine dipstick supporting bracket bolt.

Full fluid and filter service
Egr delete
Top timing chain guide
Injectors cleaned
Wheel alignment
Valve stem seals
2SO and fuel system cleaners
In tank fuel screen clean
Replace intake tract rubbers
Cat delete
Valve stem seals
Pump advance - I think I must advance some more (I believe it was worked on before and installed retarded)
Intake fan thingy removed (yet to see if it makes a difference)
I tried upping the boost but that gave CEL

That's as far as I can remember

Geezzz... You have a list of stuf.

Well I decided I will try the Dastek chip when I have money.... If that doesnt work, then I'll accept the 3.2 has bad consumption.

It doesn't! There is clearly 2 groups with the 3.2 engines. Those that get 13-14.5l/100km and those that get 9.5-11l/100km.

I'm on a mission to try and find what the difference is.

Have you investigated "friction losses":

Binding brakes?
Over tight wheel bearings?
Non-releasing hand brake?

My gen1 Di-D with the aerodynamics of an outhouse and 4.88 diff gives better consumption! Something is wrong!

I looked at it. My wheels turn freely when it jacked up and I turned up the handbrake last night because it didnt work too well.

Marius have you tried to remap the Ecu yet.

Remap costs thousands.

I may help but it may have the same effect as just advancing the pump which I can do for free.

Why are the same make and models getting such large differences in economy? I can only deduce that the pump was worked on before and not installed at the correct advancement because they thought the electrics will sort it out.

My boss needs my car Saturday but after he's back I'm advancing some more and will give feedback on my findings after a few hundred kilos.
