Hi Ernie,
Just a stupid question if I may?
Why did you opt for the Spitronic TCU gearbox as the Paj has a Tcu already for the auto box.
But - said you have a lot of knowledge looks like with this type of of jobs and I would assume you will probably end up far less in cost than those guys in Pretoria.

Paw_by_Paw, I bought the autobox some time ago from a guy. I did not get the TCU. I bought it kind of as scrap, mostly for the front diff and transfer case. In those days I was still anti auto box. But now it turned out that it was a good buy. I basically bought the auto box, transfer and front diff with side shafts and all for R2K. If there was a original TCU, I would have used it.
As for the cost at the moment it stands at about R12K. To this must be added exhaust system and a huge electric fan or fans. Not to bad I reckon.

If (rather than when) Pumbaa's engine dies this will most likely be my route - V8 with auto ... I'm drooling already

Hi Ernie,
I am posting these here as I could not get a way to Pm it to you as it seems on PM messages there is no space for adding phot's from documents. Or I am just Technologically incapcitated.

Hallo Ernie

Ek sal probeer om so veel as moontlik te update.

Last update without pics. I have lots and will upload. It was slow during this week as work and other stuff kept popping up. The only thing left to do is the radiator and the shifter connection to the gearbox. Most of the cabling is in and ready to start. I will post some pics tomorrow evening and on Sunday when I should be about done.
