How much did the recon starter motor job cost you?
It was in the region of R600 but I will have to check the paperwork for the correct amount. Dropped the car off in the morning and collected at 15:00.
Problem was created by myself with the faulty fuel system and cranking the motor to long to get it started. Started worked fine when cold but once the engine was hot it was a nightmare

Original Motor-Yes
Any Major Work Done: Replaced all seals Front and rear Crank, Welsh plugs,power steering pipes, complete overhaul of all calipers ,new cv joints,new standard shocks, replaced old fan with electric fan and mod's, still have to do the auto box complete recon, and still looking for water pipes for this model seems very scarce,
want to replace all door rubbers,etc

Original Motor: Yes
Any Major Work Done: Not that much - had to replace to suspension completely at the beginning of this year and had to replace the rear brakes. The hydrologic system for the centre and rear diff had to be changed too due to leakage after fitting a second fuel tank.

Is it the original motor? Yes
Any major work? New turbo fitted, old one started to whistle and after inspection discovered the fins are worn badly

I will post here soon...sitting on 142500 at the moment....another month or two and I my baby will qualify
well long past here now....she is on 197000km but has had some fairly major heart surgery in the interim...

Is it the original motor? Yes
Any major work? Bottom end bearings at 230 000km and I think the previous owner did the gearbox.
