12k is definately way too much. I know Martin flogged one for 6.5k a while back, but not 100% sure that it was a full rear axle. I also saw one at Barnetts recently for 7k. For a front ARB locker you are looking at 12-13k, so I would keep hunting if I were you - although they are very scarce.
