Re: 4x4 Selection lights
No ABS should have nothing to do with it. Does all the selections work properly? 4H, 4HLc and 4LLc?
Re: 4x4 Selection lights
Hi there

Everything works as normal and all the selection lights work as well. Could a slightly low oil level cause this C/D lamp to flash
after 100's of Km's ? I have not checked oil level on drive train.
Re: 4x4 Selection lights
Very keen on hearing the solution. Mine also flashes afyer about 20minutes driving or about 20km. Really is annoying. If I select 4h then everything works no problem and the c/d light does not come on and flash. If I change from 2h to 4h and back after a few minutes and keep doing that then everything stays normal and the lights chanhe as I shift the lever
Re: 4x4 Selection lights
Just wondering as Spikv changed oil and his problem has been solved. Will low oil level cause this C/D light to flash ?

Re: 4x4 Selection lights
I forgot to mention i had water intrusion in my transfercase, just check the colour of your oil.

Hi all

At first the C/D lock flashed orange only after a few hundred kilo's then I stop and switch off and restart as the operators manual states and it is clear.
Now this last trip it start flashing and will not reset, but my 4x4 4H does work as I used it for 160km through the mountains.
I keep my speed to below 100KPH as It starts to make a strange noise.
I noticed that when I start up on a angle all clears and back to normal till I drive on a level then it goes back to orange C/D flashing.
Does this warning perhaps check oil levels ?

Hi Cats

All my tyres are of the same size.
The front left wore off more on the outside part and when I had wheel alignment checked I had a faulty wheel bearing that I then replaced. Just after the bearing was replaced on my next trip is when the light started to flash, only after a long distance.

Re: 4x4 Selection lights
Hi,

My problem turned out to be the solenoids as pointed out by someone previously. Mechanics working in my engine bay broke off one of the nipples which i guess resulted in loss of pressure in the 4x4 system and the center diff light came on every 20 min or so. It reset itself when i restarted the car. As i was in the bush at the time i used Pratley steel to re-join the nipple and it worked fine, and is still like that as i have not got around to replacing it yet.
