Just as matter of interest..Could you see the oil/diesel mix on the dipstick?How does it look
I had my 3.2 run away - it IS scary.
A diesel mech told me how to test for diesel in the sump oil.
Drip a drop of oil on a piece of newspaper.
If there is diesel in the oil, the newspaper will immediately absorbe ONLY PART of the 'oil' .
You will see the absorbed ring around the drop of oil, while the rest of the oil stays intact.
Pure oil is absorbed very slower.
Test this by mixing a small amount of oil with diesel.
My problem was eventually identified as a dud seal on the injector pump shaft.
