Ah. And the romantic orange glow in the footwell is so that I can see the clutch pedal. Clever. No, wait.. my car is automatic

Somebody had to do the "un-manly" thing and consult the owner's manual.

It is called the "ceiling light" and doesn't have a specific function. I suppose you could use it from finding the gear lever to making out in the drive-in.

After stripping the roof and do some tone testing on the wires. I found it is connected to the interior light switch. When you select "door" or middle, it turns from yellow to green. Very weird.

Just joking about the stripping of the roof....
