To find the Kidsons mill, I will have to line up Baviaanskop in the distance with Victory Hill in the middle distance. I know the Kidson vein occurred in the Moodies quartzite, which is also a prominent ridge.
The old Fairview mill will be more difficult to pin as I believe it is now covered by Eucalyptus trees. Maybe they will be gone soon.

I think I know where this valley is. Plan is to confirm later today. I have a meeting nearby and can grab low range for a few km and try to take a picture.

The zigzag track is still visible from the opposite slope of the valley, but is not visible on GE anymore. I have a 1959 aerial photo on my office wall and luckily one can still see the track on that - which was my best lead. Still not getting picks loaded. Will continue trying.
