Sorry - I only saw your Gen 3. You are right - the rims of the Gen2 and Gen2.5 are the same, and yours are the OME for the 97 Gen2.

I havelearned in the brief time of my 3.2 ownership that the following plays a huge role in the 3.2 Di-D consumptionjohann.melanie wrote:Hi ,i have a 3.2 did swb and is also worried about the fuel consumpsion.I filled it up and drove 425 km and the fuel reserve lamp just lightened up.Is it normal for town and open road 50/50.Never drove it open throttle ,my last test gave me 6.4 km/l.What can be done to better this, the enjin is in good condition.71 liter tank 2002 model.

Yeepers that is heavy! I get 6km/l when I do 110-120km/h with my 1,8 ton Xplorer on tow and fully loaded for overlanding on a nice open stretch of road, so you should be getting a lot better! This is with my 2001 3.2Did manual LWB.johann.melanie wrote:Hi ,i have a 3.2 did swb and is also worried about the fuel consumpsion.I filled it up and drove 425 km and the fuel reserve lamp just lightened up.Is it normal for town and open road 50/50.Never drove it open throttle ,my last test gave me 6.4 km/l.What can be done to better this, the enjin is in good condition.71 liter tank 2002 model.

I haven't logged many miles yet. An overfill can adversely affect the reading on such short mileage - the difference between first click and full to the brim is quite a few litres - the more the mileage the less percentage that difference is full filling becomes. Over time it will come down. The ecu needs to adapt to the recently deleted catalytic converter and new BFG tyres that are slightly larger than the previous maxtrek - even though they are same spec. I'm considering a battery disconnect for ecu reset.Cas wrote:@ 4ePikanini
Your fuelly shows same consumption as my V6![]()
Is it right?
