The most amazing thing just happened

I cc'd TWT East London on my mail to Tim and subsequently Shaun Jevon from TWT EL phones me.

He said that he already escalated this further to TWT head office to take it further and also......

He offered to take the tyres in and refund me pro rata (based on tread) and give me discounted rates on another brand of my choice and make the problem his.

I am shocked! That is impeccable service!

HOWEVER, I told him if TWT SA takes the hit if BFG doesn't come through then I'll accept his offer but if he (or his shop) must take the financial hit I'm not interested in his offer. That's just not fair that he must take the blame for BFG's shoddy representatives not even willing to take extra pics and excalate it directly to BFG!

TWT EL - You rock! I hope your cup of prosperity fills over till the end of days! I'm sure it will!

Take TWT's offer!

Leave it to them to sort it out with BFG.

See TWT as your 'broker'.
They have much more clout than you!

Conspiracy
TWT keep the client happy without (BFG) acknowledging that there is a problem with the tyre.

I agree on the conspiracy theory. The repercussions for BFG is just too great to admit a fault.

TWT EL just phoned me.

TWT head office has given instructions to replace the tyres with Hankooks ATM at no charge. They will take the case further.

I'm happy with TWT and will support them 150% but michelin and BFG will never see me again unless I have testify against them.

Once again a huge thumbs up to Shaun Jevon from TWT in East London for going the extra mile in terms of client relations. I hope you all support him when you need tyres next - as long as it isn't BFG ;)

I suspect I'm losing money as the hankooks were considerably cheaper when I purchased the BFG tyres but I am getting 15000km of tread use from the BFG out of the deal.

All in all I think it's a happy and reasonable solution for me.

they are on.

First impressions.

Looks good and the ride seems to be softer on gravel.

Is there some way of identifying this batch by the serial no or some other marking on the tyres?
