Good man!

Where and at what cost did this happen?

I think I would like to replace all fluids in my drive train as soon as mine is out of service plan (93k appeared on my dash this morning :o ).

I had the service done at Mitspro and the cost was very reasonable as always. I also had some other work done like the said waterpump and some small things, so not sure how much of their cost related to the actual service, sorry, but it was very reasonable in any case, less than R2000

The fluids gets changed every 80000km in my vehicle in any case, so maybe that is why the pump and cooling system was still in such good condition.

I agree, good quality coolant is a MUST. I was disappointed when I saw the jobcard for my 90k cambelt service - it didn't include new coolant.

Maybe I should seriously consider a coolant and drive train oil transfusion at the 105k service. I do a lube sevice between the official services at 7.5K. It so happens that the last two times it allowed me to go on my "overland" trip with fresh oil and filter. I would love to take this beast with me into retirement (and a brand new automatic Golf :D ).

Hi all,
today I managed to squeeze in african outback drawer system (came from a Landy, 2nd hand)
mounted Ctek to rear of drawer system, still need to wire it up
Had chip fitted from SAC earlier this week

found half the source of strange clanking sound- missing bolt holding down the hydraulic lines in engine compartment.

TO DO ASAP - this month
Suspension towards end of the month when stock arrives, Tough Dog (Ordered)
Lynx Front Bumper, Bashplate and transfer case protection (Ordered)
African roof rack- Rail mount (Ordered)
buy batteries, AGM or lead crystal

 Goodies already done,
seal for butterfly valves on intake manifold, no vacuum sucking sound anymore
LED bulb replacements interior
Escape seat covers
Foxwing Awning

Well done!

Tough Dog suspension: Where and how much if I may ask? What made you pick this brand?
New suspension is on my todo list as well.

I do like the Lynx bash plates. I haven't got the transfer case one yet, but the front one has definitely paid itself off on damage prevented!

Just want to be a bit different
They seem robust, double tube, came out tops as best overall performer in some competition in Australia. Beat well known brands!!
Getting them from Broadacres fitment in Fourways R14950. :!:

Had Mitspro do a total lube service (transmission, diffs, transfer case, etc.) today at 110 000km. (its only due at 120 000 km, but the transmission fluid was not 100% reddish - it had quite a bit of black as well)

With me doing the oil, oil filter and air filter myself, total Mitspro service cost was R1600!!! (And they also did a few other small things, like grease propshaft and suspension joints, clean out the EGR). Needless to say - a very happy chappy. :)

By the way - my EGR was very dirty. After cleaning out, engine noise notably softer when at speed (130km/h with torque converter locked)
