OK - After a complete stuff up with the collection of my vehicle by Randburg Diesel and Turbo!!

I have decided to heed the forum advice and let her go to Alan Black. Spoke to Corne and waiting for Bradley to phone me back on arrangements for a flatbed.
I still don't know how I am going to pay for this story if it goes to the maximum bad news of R40k as indicated, so hopefully it will be closer to the R14k if all goes well. If it is R40k I might be tempted in buying 4EPajeros gen 1 with the gen3 heart's engine?? Who knows?

Cats,
I know you'll believe me when I say I have pain in my heart as I type this message:
Give Gerhard a call and ask him to hang onto that engine for a few days.
Can you honestly think of anybody that you would rather buy a used motor from?
Good luck mate,
Roelf

The car (4ePajero's gen1) is currently at my place.
I'm sure dad will negotiate on the engine price.
The engine has been recently serviced by me and I can vouch for it's condition.
The main thing is to get the engine sold and then the rest of the car can be sold for cheap. It is heartbreaking but dad doesn't need the car anymore and it's made some great memories and gave very good service.
Maybe give dad a PM and let me know. I can take the engine out over the weekend and have it shipped to you monday.

Speak to your short-term insurance. Santam organized a flat bed for my daughters car, no charge, after the Honda's clutch packed up.

Hi Folks,
Sorry to butt in on this post.
I have tried to get in touch with Alan Black, using the numbers from the internet. All I get is an answering machine.
Please can someone help me with some numbers I can try.
I would like to get my injectors and pump checked (240000km) before I go on leave.
Regards
Trevor

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the reply.
That number is one of the ones I got through to a answering machine. Many times.
I will try again today, otherwise I will take a ride out to them.
Regards
Trevor

Called that number earlier this week - booked an injector test first week in Feb.

Have you DiD gentlemen considered a combined POCSA approach to try and whittle a discount out of Alan Black?

Roelf. No harm in asking but by the number of Did's at their shop when I dropped of Snoopy there yesterday I don't think he needs the business.
Incidentally it seems that although they are a well respected company for Pajero 3.2 Did Zexel VRZ pumps, it seems that they are not the SOLE providers of this service in South Africa. I have always believed that they are the only ones but the further I dug the more I have found that there are other companies that will also be able to do rebuilds. Randburg Diesel and D&F Diesel in Pretoria are some.
