I've bought myself some neat spares at Parthunt in Kameeldrift Pretoria, found them through the forum. Can't beat them, price and variety. Bought myself a manual gearbox and transfer case in good condition for R14 000 and the old ones back. They've been a huge help as well in terms of fault finding. Gert is your man, 083 284 7734, extremely busy though so keep it short. I just have to show you Martin's "Pajero" hope he doesn't mind.

If you have not been yet at the scrapyard, could you check for a original electrical aerial, headrests for jump seats, driver's exterior mirror complete
Thanks in anticipation
Kind regards
Aslam
Hi Aslam,
Not 100% 'Au Fait' with the lingo, but if by jump seats, you mean the 2 seats in the back (the fold up ones)
I've taken mine out, I'll check tonight, but I'm pretty sure Ive got the rear head rests.
You can have them if I do.

I see he still needs to track down some Pajero badges

Hi Aslam,
Sorry, I checked this morning, the only backrests I have are for the back seats, nothing for the 3rd row.
but good luck with your search, I hope you come right anyway.
Cheers

I have just replaced my 3.2 DiD motor with a second hand one but the `tapping`noise I found was a piston. I am now looking for just the one piston or even the whole set together with ring(s) and gasket set. I am in Johannesburg and finding these very hard to get. My Pajero has now been off the road for 2 months so I am struggling. Any help or advice would be helpful.

pistons are usually sold as a set (with good reason)
to do it properly I would recommend a marginal overbore with matching pistons and rings.

Guys I see you coming across a lot of parts from various areas in SA. If any of you see a Pajero IO (3 or 5 door) please let me know. The are very hard to find.

Try Louis Smit at Desert Stormer 4X4 I left my Pajero 3.5 1999 LWB plastic rear fender corners and bull bar and front bumper at his place when he manufactured my new steel bumper. He might still have it or knows where he sold or left it. Worth a try

There are three Pajeros at the scrapyard in Dunswart, Benoni, where the old racetrack was, they are very new models, not clued up enough to know how new, but they looked brand new except for some extreme damage from a collision.
I was there looking for a door button and a rear window latch, but these were way newer than my 2000 model.
