Great stuff Martin, I'm glad it made a difference. I must add that for a vehicle with 310,000km it has a spotless interior

Hi all

I've only recently joined the forum. I stumbled across this thread on the shaking dash, which is an issue I've been toiling with for a while now - and one that has become more pertinent with an upcoming trip to Zim and another to Namibia at the end of the year. So I became very excited when I saw the fixes that have been discussed.

Kurt, I saw your note regarding the fix on the 12th of September, if you have appetite for one more I would be more than grateful :)

Thanks

Kyle

So Kyle's dash is now as solid as anything! Thanks for popping in so early, I managed to get some of that rubber strip for the rear door panels, give me a call when you are able to come through and I will put some on your car. Please give honest feedback once you have been on some rough roads. Cheers!

Another 2 dashboards sorted this morning. The second one I did was a 2010 GLX and the dash felt pretty solid but I did the usual cable ties and brackets. Mitsu had installed some pretty decent steel brackets but they didn't connect to the top of the dash like John's design so we replaced them. I also sorted out some rear door panels that were rattly and in the boot. I hope JP and Kobus Louw see an improvement, please send us feedback.

Hi Folks, I said to Kurt that I am nervous to even start to fiddle with a dashboard of any car because normally in the effort to get it dismantled you normally damage or break something.

However, by now Kurt look like a pro with that dashboard dismanteling and rebuild!!

Thank you for your time.

As feedback is concern, a little early for a real test, but I specificly drove a spot where I experienced rattles before and the dash surely appear a lot more stable and rigid.

Thanks again for the attention to the other areas ss well, Kurt.

So, its a thumbs-up!!

Happy 4 x 4-ing

Hi guys. Thanks for all the interesting posts on this topic. I'm envious of those who've had success in overcoming the rattle gremlin. The dealer fix recently done has not made the rattles go away. Can anyone help me with my 2013 swb dash rattles or at least post or send me a detailed description of the fix so that I can investigate further myself? I'm in Cape a Town.
In anticipation.
Thanks.
Ed

Hi Eddie
There are quite a few capetonians that seem to want the fix.I have offered to come down and do it if the guys are willing to just cover my traveling costs,i wont charge for the brackets.
So maybe we should star a thread and see how many guys are really interessted and take it from there.?
