Gave Casper, 2009 model, a chance to chat to Eloff's new Pajero when we met by chance, off the forum for a change, by chance in Garies Northern Cape of all places!

Spent a few days at Matamba Bush Camp bonding with the Xplorer. 'Jero has towed it a few times and is very happy with the van.

Sprayed the plastic trim around the window switches matt black. Didn't come out too bad! :D

Those silver plastic trim pieces are not very hard wearing!

Hi All

I spent the weekend spraying the rims on my 2010 Pajero Sport.
Saw a post by Cats where he vinyl coated the rims on his Pajero (on Snoopy I think), decided to try it myself.

The application was pretty straight-forward. The first coat goes on thicker than you would do normal paint as this makes peeling easier. After that its just a matter of getting into all the nooks and crannies without getting runs. Applying four to five coats per wheel takes about 45 mins for both sides. I only had one jack so couldn't do multiple tires at a time. This was quite a slow down as you can wash wheels or apply vinyl to other wheels while waiting between coats.

In my opinion the results came out great. Smooth surface with very little to no bubbles/contamination. Just be sure to put on those layers nice and thick. Used 4 cans over the 5 wheels.

Have a good one!
