Sounds like you guys had a good day. Wish i could have made it. Alas my 4x4'ing is somewhat curtailed at the moment.

Simon, you missed an awesome day. One day you'll be able to bring your bundle of joy with.
Just in case you were wondering, I did replace the front number plate this morning.
Hope to see you guys SOON.
Nico.

Hi Ned
The places name is Trekoskraal. It is just before Tietiesbaai near Paternoster. I found the track on google maps and we made it our mission to explore Trekoskraal and drive through a few sand tracks and dunes to Tietiesbaai.
We nearly made it to Jacobsbaai and then turned around to venture to Tieties. We had a great time but unfortunately did not make it to Tiueties cos we didnt know the tracks at all. I had no maps or GPS, we just went exploring on our own.
Turned out to be a great day! Trekoskraal has lots of sandy tracks with some hills to climb
. It is possible to braai at Trekoskral and a few good surf/fishing spots.
I dont feel comfortable to start a new event invitation with the limited knowledge I have of the area. I am definitely going to get back there as soon as John's Shortie has got a new bumper, lift and tyres. Hopefully in a week or two. Cant Wait
I think this needs a little more research so let me know if you can help in any way.
Pics of Trekoskraal below.
Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the pics & details, going to check on it now.
FYI,
It seems I did do a wee bit of damage to Bismark.
It seems my right side rear mudflap is missing.
Anyone regularly at the dunes, please let me know if you pick one up.
Although, I'm thinking of just removing the other one, and closing up the gap between the fender & rear bumper plastic that is covered buy the mudflap as well.

Achille,
I'm sure we can make a plan for 26/27th March,
Maybe arrive 26th, stay one night, leave Sunday morning.
But then you HAVE to give us a 'workshop' on the workings of all the different levers on the back seats
p.s.
Guys,
Please pm me your cell numbers, I need to load them on my new phone.
Thanks
Ned

Hi Ned
Thanks for the proposed outing for the end of March. It'll be great to go on an outing in a beautiful area, and with "discerning" Padj owners.
I'll gladly show you (what i've learned from Aslam), regarding the intricacy's of the LWB seating enigma
It's also had me baffled, that I could not get the back seats to easily fold, when I wanted them to fold..........but then they easily did, when I was cleaning
Anyway, I think I got the hang of it now........otherwise I'll have to use a "SPECIAL" Sicilian spanner.....that sorts out all problems......dubbed "holy reasoning"....................THE HAMMER
Only joking
