Time for an update me thinks...

What model / year is your Pajero? 2001 Gen3 3.2Di D SWB
How much mileage had your Pajero done? 247000km - now on 334000 about.
Is it the original motor? Yes
Any major work? Left front wheel bearing hub assembly

Bit of a longer list now, seeing as the old lady is getting on in life.....
In the past 5 months:
. Rear diff recon done
. New clutch, pressure plate, release and pilot bearings
. New dual mass flywheel
. New propshaft (was not necessary but mech thought it was ) (R12500 down the drain)
. CVs checked and re-greased, new boots.
. EGR removed
. All bushes replaced - Diff, steering, control arms etc.
. Suspension lift and some other custom bobs....

next on the list - that damn annoying heat gauge

Any major work? Bought a battery once.

Tested a few new ones and mine has still got the goods....

How much mileage had your Pajero done? 167000km
Is it the original motor? Yes
Any major work? Replaced the cracked manifolfs at 130000km

Just Clocked - 200 000 km !

New clutch + CV joints on main drive shaft replaced (they the same as used by a couple of other manufacturers - and much cheaper than buying the entire drive shaft - the only may Mits would sell it to me).

Also had solenoid actuator on central transfer case sick while back- 4h to 2h - auto-electrical guy got it working again - no parts replaced - touch wood all okay!

Replaced timing chain guide as precaution.

Only real complaint I have is fuel economy its not what it used to be - I used to get close to 10km / l - this has slipped down to between 8 and 9 km /l - slight smoking but nothing dramatic. Any ideas of likely cause?

Also power steering pump is starting to get very noisy - I need to look at that as well.

Any major work? Nothing like a heart plant
- New clutch,
- Clutch fork rubber (had to remove the transfer case)
- KYB lifted front suspension (I installed it myself)

Things to be done now
- Front wheel bearings (R450 ea x 4)
- Wheel Bearing Seals (R35 ea x 4)
- Tie rod (R520 ea x 2)
- Tie rod ends (R210 ea x 2)
- Gearbox thrust bearing (R390 ea x 1)
- Labour to replace a R390 thrust bearing........ R2490 at Mitsu dealership

Any major work? : Only the regular 7500 services by dealer. Not even a globe or fuse changed yet.

Any major work? Cracked head @ 332 000 Replaced Front CV's @ +-250 000 (Preventative maintenance)
New Disks alround Will fit new bash plates soon. The originals seem to fall off every second service
