Personally I don't understand the point of a whatsapp group unless it's dedicated to specific region and for the organisation. Or outings. Or requests for emergency assistance. But we never get stuck
If it's go share ideas, and especially technical info, then whatsapp is not the right medium.
Any and all of that information is lost, permanently, and of no use to anyone who might be outside the group. It's not archiveable, not searchable and hard to sift through the noise.
