I have also been on the trail a couple of times although the last time was a couple of years ago. We shouldn't have any problems unless it rains. My impressions were that it's easy (even with the optionals) and over quickly - but with more vehicles it'll obviously take longer and be more fun. Most difficult was boomslang and one place where your car will lift a back wheel what feels like meters as the front tumbles down a sharp decline.
However I'm afraid I might have to go onto the "Maybe" s list until at least Thursday - if space is limited I don't want to mess it up for someone else by having to bail at the last minute. Will post here as soon as I know for certain.

Beside the standard recovery equipment a tyre pressure gauge and pump will be convenient as you will have to deflate your tyres to 1.5 bar and preferably pump then again before leaving for home although there are a couple of filling stations within about 1o km from the venue

Did it a couple of years ago. First trip with my Gen1. Was very easy. Looking forward to meeting evryone on Sunday. Still sorting out front suspension on my car but I am confident that it the Bredell-clan will make it on Sunday. The road leading to the farm is not called the "Bredell pad" for nothing

Here is a map of the trail as well. A fairly old version of T4A but I do not think anything has changed.

Sorry to hear that, although I'm sure well still have a place open by that morning, and you know what to bring etc,
I'll put a final count on Friday afternoon, and if there's still 14 places....oh, what the hell, I'll leave you on the list, so if
Saturday night or Sunday morning comes, and you can miraculously pull a stand in out of the hat, then there will be a space for you.
