I want to replace the current cigarette lighter cable in the back of my Gen3 3.2Did LWB, but I’m not sure who to remove the panels etc to follow the cable and to replace it.
I also want to put in one or two switches in the roof lining for LED strips, how do I remove the roof lining to put the cables in etc?
Never done this and very new so any help would be appreciated.

Heya
I added a Hella plug in parallel to the cigarette lighter socket. To do that I had to start with removing the rear grab handle and aircon cover. With those off I could pull off the plastic that fits round the window; that's just clipped on. I then removed the luggage hook bolt at the read of the car which loosens that small panel. Then you need to peel back the carpet and loosen the bolts fastening the bottom plastic to the floor. Once all of that was done you can then pull away the bottom plastic. I appeared to have some stubborn clips so I didn't remove it entirely, but pulled it forward and worked on it like that.
I decided that once my dual battery system is in I'm going to run a new plug on the other (left hand) side, I'd rather leave the factory cabling as is as it goes into a taped up harness and may still be useful. That standard wiring is very thin though and has a mega voltage drop. I do currently run my fridge on it but would like to get it off there pretty soon. The left hand side appears to have more "spare" space and will be easier to run it to the aux battery once it's in.
My father in law has a SWB and similar thing there. It did have a cigarette lighter socket already (other side though), but we ran a new cable all the way from the back to the aux battery in the front. We didn't use a Hella for his install, we rather fastened an Anderson plug onto the plastic. Same job with running the cable though - loosen mats, loosen bolts, loosen plastics, etc. We didn't get the plastics off completely, but loose enough to thread a new cable.
