I have a Gen2 LWB. One rear seat (not jumpseat) is stuck - need the cables tentioned (I guess). Anyone knows someone in W/Cape that knows how to set these?

Thanks,
Anton

After snapping a cable in the seat in effort to release it, I surrendered to the specialists, and the cables and settings were fixed by McCarthy's Auto Trimmers.

Note their name for any work on trim. They are good, reasonable and customer focussed.

Thanx Anton, I've been looking at having mine fixed for some time now. I have tried jumping and the "ruk & pluk" but it's stuck solid.

I have seen a mobile setup around Paarl. I wonder if they will be able to come out here to fix it?

Pleasure.

Costs a pretty penny, because they had to make up two cables (order from Japan will have taken months) but great service. They come to you in their mobile unit. Their first effort failed (seat still stuck) and they came back same day apologising for inconvenience! Service focussed, as I said. Now my seats work like a charm!

Hope you get yours sorted too.

Anton

PS: Ask Samantha to send Robbie - he knows Pajero seats!

If you are in or around Cape Town, do try McCarthy's.

Sorry I stay in Joburg... :-( BUT I did manage to get mine unstuck with the help of the link above. It is all in the method (momentum...). So far it has worked everytime... Hope it remains unstuck...

Try see if you can set the tension up a bit. The setting is similar to a bicycly cable, and normally near the hooking point of the seat.

BTW - I got the contact via the dealers. McCarthy does all Mitsu's work in the W/Cape. Check out your local dealer. Surely they will have a similar contact.
