Part Numbers for Common Service Items

Don't you just hate it? Servicing your "new" car for the first time, only to find out the oil filter / air cleaner / brake pads don't fit. These things invariably happen when you're already drenched in oil, the car is in an undrivable state, and all spare shops are closed .... Murphy is alive and well!
Along with most Gen 1's and 2's, a large number of Gen 3's now fall into the DIY service category. So most readers of this forum will experience the above scenario sooner or later ... a situation that could have been avoided if you had the right part numbers available. So the idea is to compile a database of local replacement part numbers for common service parts .... not the Mitsu part numbers ... the "real world" numbers from Fram, GUD, Ate, whatever.
So here is my first contribution from my exerience today ...
