SWB Gen 3 Central locking not working

I ahve had a few issues with the central locking on my SWB pajero for a while. The passenger door will not work on the central locking, but if manually locked/ unlocked with the key, then it works.
At first it seemed it was a design flaw as the electrics clip intot he bottom of the door lock/ catch with a female clip. the Lock unit being the male. The 1st 2 times i had to fix it the wire clip and wire sleeve had water in them. A bit of WD 40 and I was back in the game.
ladt week stopped working again. i opended, no water, spray etc, put it all back and still not working. I pulled it out again and tested it with it out and when button pressed you can see the mechanism try to work but it seems jammed. I loosened all screws and oiled it all to see if maybe it had just got gummed up, but no change.
The lock unit is a sealed plastic unit.
Anyone elese had this issue? Any idea what a new one costs? or where I could get a 2nd hand one. Any other ideas as to how I could fix it.
Its a nuisence as I transport my kids in the back and need to get through passenger door and it not locking centrally is a pain in the gat. also the more I open the door pannels the looser the screw brackets are becoming and aalready they have little bite so i dont want to ahve to do it too many more times.
Any suggestions?
